Socially Responsive Management Training with the US Forest Service (USFS)

CSEPP implemented a training program called Socially Responsive Management (SRM) for the USDA Forest Service, Region 2, between 1979 and 1984, for which we received the Gifford Pinchot Award. Altogether, CSEPP trained about 3,000 staff and 1,000 managers. As a result, the culture of the Forest Service nation-wide became much more oriented towards community collaboration, and the Forest Service has been able to implement projects much more smoothly.
